Title: Head in the Clouds

Description: Head in the Clouds was inspired by the Alina Barraz Album: Urban Flora. In this piece, I transformed a portrait by blending it seamlessly with the imagery of mountains and clouds. The result evokes a dreamlike state, suggesting introspection, imagination, and the fluidity of self.

This artwork draws from double exposure and surrealist influences to create a visual metaphor, where the head dissolves into clouds, symbolizing detachment.

Techniques: 

• Image Compositing: Combined multiple photographic sources into one cohesive image. 

• Layer masking: Revealed portions of underlying layers. 

• Gradient Blending: Created smooth transitions between the portrait and natural elements.

• Double exposure simulation: Blended images to achieve a dreamy, double exposure effect. 

• Black & White tonal adjustments: Unified the elements through consistent grayscale treatment.
